Hey there! So, I'm Rebecca Leighton, and I've been diving into the world of instructional design and educational tech for over 25 years – it's been quite a journey! I've also covered the academic side, with a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a cognate in Vocational and Adult Education, a Master's in Ed Tech, and a B.A. in Communications, all from the University of Arkansas. Woo Pig Sooie! But honestly, finding cool ways to use technology to make learning stick for people, whether kids or working adults, gets me going. With 25+ years in instructional design and educational technology, I bring comprehensive expertise backed by a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction, a Master's in Ed Tech, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Arkansas. My passion lies in creating impactful learning experiences through innovative technology. I've managed full-cycle learning development and implementation as Director of Information Services, Director of Education Technology Development, and in leadership roles at Texas A&M and the University of Arkansas System. Proficient in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and multiple LMS platforms including Docebo and Brightspace, I continue to leverage cutting-edge tools to develop effective, engaging educational experiences as a Senior Instructional Designer.
